Berlin Inline Marathon 2024

First year with a new route, consisting of 5 rounds plus a roughly 7 km long end that takes you back to the usual finish line just at the Brandenburger Tor. Also my first Berlin Marathon for my new club from Vitoria, I promise to be faster next year! I started by chance from Group B, but since I almost didn't skate this year, I knew I wouldn't be anywhere near "fast". So I went for having fun and fun I did have. Not so much fun was the headwind, which was really strong, but on the way back it pushed you nicely, so there you go. I ended up finding another fellow skater and had an enjoyable race, but sadly I (again) had the wrong battery in the camera, hence the last 6 km or so are missing. On the bright side, nothing interesting happened, I arrived pretty much with the other 2 skaters I was with at the end of the video, we had a nice chat and to be honest, that's one of the main reasons to go to the Berlin Marathon: You meet people from all over the world. In the end, I finished with 1:28 h, right behind Bart Swings... wishful thinking. I won't post the results here, you can check them on the official page: https://skating.bmw-berlin-marathon.c.... But I will say that my teammates Aura Quintana and Patxi Peula got 3rd and 4th, so I bask a bit in their glory. :) 01:15 Start 04:47 Alguien de Vitoria, muchisimas gracias por animarme!
