MacLeod Inveraray and District Pipe Band Pipe Major Stuart Liddell MBE Leading Drummer Steven McWhirter The European Pipe Band Championship competitions took place on the South Inch in Perth, Scotland on 11 August 2024. The weather was perfect and the crowds turned out to make this spacious green space beside the River Tay an ideal venue. The pipe band competitions were combined with the Perth Highland Games. The event was organised by Perth Highland Games, Perth and Kinross Council and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association. Pipe bands from all over the world took part in the competitions. The Grade One competition attracted 12 entries. This was a March, Strathspey and Reel contest. Inveraray & District were placed second overall.
