We got an invite from a fellow Instagram buddy, Dust & Diesel Overlanding the night before to come and check out Helderberg 4x4 trail and decided to join & visit this one before they closed down the 1'st of August 2021. Unfortunately parts of the trail were closed off due to severe rains this winter season & vehicle damage might occur rather easily. (They recovered such a vehicle from the day before that was dangerously close to a roll over.) Hence we could not truly rate the trail on our fun & scenery factors Diesel Tech style as we usually do as it would actually be partially done so. Regardless we gave it a brief rating seeing that they will be closed down. For the people that have not been to Helderberg 4x4 trails in the past, you did not miss too much, we promise.
