Sand Casting Aluminum The origin of sand casting lies in pre-recorded history, dating back as far as the practice of metallurgy. It was the earliest and most universal technique for metal forming. Historical evidence confirms that sand casting was prevalent in Egypt (predating the first dynasty in 3,150 BC), Mesopotamia, and ancient China. Sand Casting Aluminum is one of the easiest ways to make something of your own out of Solid Aluminum. Aluminum is very abundant and is fairly easy to melt. Melting Aluminum can be done with most Propane furnaces that can reach at least 1300 degree Fahrenheit. There are different ways of casting aluminum. In this video I will show you how I do the Lost Foam Sand Casting Process.
