English follows Japanese Piano: Kuririn "Jeannine"という曲、"Cannonball Adderley"演奏のバージョンが大好きです。さて、自分の演奏ですが・・・ 一番緊張するイントロはベースから入ってもらうので、ちょっと安心。でも、テーマに入ると、緊張して指が思うように動かず、変な音を弾いています。７月の暑い盛りのジャジフェス、手が悴んで動かない・・・なんて言い訳はできませんね。アドリブに入り・・・リハーサルのときはどこを弾いているのか分からなくなってしまったため、どこを弾いているのかを把握する！そのことばかりを念頭に置いたため、まったく周りが聴けず・・・の状態でした。 ベースソロは、俵山さんのかっこいいベースを邪魔しないよう、なるべく弾かないよう心がけました。でも、コードを弾かないと、これまたどこを弾いているのか分からなくなってしまうので、心の中でフレーズを歌ってました。そして４バース、最初の４バースのドラムソロがカウントできず、エイッーと適当に入ってしまいました。後テーマに入り、落ち着いてきて指が動くようになったなぁーと思いつつ、そしてエンディング。やっと調子に乗ってきたら、時はすでに遅し、もう曲はおしまいでした。 終わった瞬間思ったことは、今もう一度弾けたらもう少し上手く弾けたかも知れない・・・でした。 この曲に限らず、フェスで弾く曲は好きな曲を選んでますが、好きな曲だからこそ、もっと上手くなってからかっこよく弾きたい・・・と思います。 でも、そんなこと言ってたらいつになるかわからないので、今ある実力で精一杯弾くしかないですよね。 何年か後もっと上達したら、また弾いて比べてみたいです。 イベント紹介： "JAZZYLAND FESTIVAL"は、ベースとドラムスに東京のジャズ・シーンの第一線で活躍するプロミュージシャンを迎え、ジャジーランド・ジャズ・ピアノ・スクールの受講生がジャズのセッションを繰り広げる祭典です。初心者から経験者まで、ジャジーランドの受講生の個性溢れる演奏を楽しむことができます。 ジャジーランドホームページ:　http://www.jazzyland.co.jp Student's Comment & Event Notice: Piano: Kuririn I really love Cannonball Adderley's performance of the song 'Jeannine'. But what about my own performance... In the intro, the most nerve wracking part, I follow the bass in which is a big help. But in the main theme, my fingers felt a bit nervous and my playing sounded a little strange. I could make excuses about the festival being in the hottest part of July and my fingers being emaciated and not moving...but I really can't. Into the adlib section... I practiced so much in rehearsal that I really should be able to comprehend what notes to play, that was all I could think about. I closed my ears and was in a world of my own. During Tawarayama's cool bass solo, I just tried not to get in the way and played as little as possible, but if I didn't play the chords, I would get lost again, so I was singing the phrases in my head. In the 4th verse I couldn't count the drum solo correctly, but I managed it somehow. During the last theme, my fingers finally relaxed and were moving properly just in time for the ending. I had just started getting into it, but it was too late! As I finished I thought, if I could just play it once more, I bet I could do it even better. Not just this song, but all the songs I play at the festival are songs I like and since they are songs I like, I really want to be able to play them better. But saying that, I don't know when I will be able to improve, so for the moment I will just play to the best of my abilities. I would really like to compare my playing now with that of a few years in the future when I am better!
