I was asked how I installed my VHF/UHF radio in the truck and made a short video to show the install. I thought I upload it so you can get some ideas for your own install. My requirements are that the bed cover has to stay in place. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains from fall to spring. I have lots of ideas for a much nicer antenna installation without a cover (check out stake pocket mounts!) but that wasn't an option. Drilling a hole into the cabin roof was no option because I only have less than 2" clearance to the garage door. I already have a cable in place to the other side of the truck bed for a Tarheel which will be mounted foldable inside the bed....but that's another video, I'll be busy the next 2 months with work. Please excuse the video quality, it was meant to help you get ideas. I'm not a professional you-tuber and have no intention to invest time for post production.
