Clark International Airport Terminal 2 Open House ‪@CasaTexPina‬ We had the opportunity to do a walk through of the new Clark International Airport Terminal 2 today 30 April 2022. Some info on the new terminal: - [ ] The total investment in the construction of new terminal is nearly PHP12.55bn ($243m). - [ ] The new terminal will handle up to eight million passengers each year, more than doubling the previous terminal’s capacity of 4.2 million passengers per year. - [ ] The new terminal was completed in October 2020. The terminal, which hosts 18 aerobridges - [ ] The new world-class terminal features a touchless passenger check-in option. Self-service, self-check-in kiosks, and self-bag-drop systems are available for passenger security and independence. - [ ] The airport is currently undergoing a significant expansion project that includes the construction of a new runway, which is expected to be completed by 2024. With the completion of the expansion project, the Clark International Airport will be able to accommodate up to 12 million passengers per year. - [ ] Once it is connected to the Manila-Clark Railway Station, the travel time between Metro Manila and the airport is expected to be cut to less than 60 minutes. - [ ] The design of the terminal’s façade reflects the wavy silhouette of Mount Arayat, Mount Pinatubo and Sierra Madre mountain range. The tallest arch is 20m high and the structure is flanked with 12m and 16m high arches. The remaining arches are 12m tall.
