MY FiRST DOLLAR GENERAL GROCERY HAUL

My daughter Hailey loves Dollar General and she told me that I had to check it out. So we headed over there to do my very first grocery haul at Dollar General. I love the fact that the grocery carts were bigger than at dollar tree I could hardly fit anything in there. And it was really cool that everything was sold by the whole dollar so it’s easy to figure out if you have a budget that you were on. It was like two items for two dollars or two items for six dollars or two items for five dollars. So it’s easier to figure out what you were spending compared to Walmart were the prices are like $1.62. Or $6.87. I found a lot of items that were very comparable to Walmart prices and then several that were actually cheaper. I was happy to see that they had a lot of the brands that I used and they also had good and healthy options too. It was a bummer that they didn’t have any fruits or vegetables. The store with a little cramped for me so it was hard to get down some of the isles and it was kind of messy and the layout that I normally do when I do my grocery halls at the bigger stores was different so I felt like I was just having to grab whatever came to mind instead of having a plan where I went to the dairy department, then to the lunchmeat, then to the drinks. So that kind of threw me off a little bit. I think that I like dollar tree better because they seem to have more unique items that you don’t see it other stores and they also give you a knock off brand to try. So I feel that with a bigger family if you need more variety and options to choose from for pricing and brands. The bigger stores are definitely better but if you live in a town where there’s only a dollar general available you definitely can get your groceries there at a decent price. I think I’d like to go back and maybe shop not groceries and just look for cool items but I still feel like dollar tree has the one up on Dollar General because you can find unique things that you’re not used to find him.
