Buddy is doing a DIY cosmetic video! Yep, you read that right! I mean - look at his hair, this one was meant for him. Buddy went down a rabbit hole the other night about chemicals in all the products we use daily. So, he wanted to try his hand at making our own Shampoo and Conditioner. Come along with us from start to finish! #thedenmanhomestead #diy #selfsufficient #homemadeshampoo Soap Nuts: https://amzn.to/43gSm9j Flax Seeds: https://amzn.to/3MvZ7xY Boil 4 cups of water with: 10 to 15 Soap Nuts 2 Tbsp of Flax seeds. Stir occasionally. Once the water starts to boil set it to simmer and let it sit for 20 minutes on a simmer. I recommend mashing the soap nuts at this point, but this isn't required. (you will not be able to reuse the same soap nuts for as many batches if mashed) Once cool, add 5 or 6 drops of your favorite essential oil and stir. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer and into a mason jar. Keep in the refrigerator and use within 1 to 2 weeks. Enjoy homemade natural shampoo/conditioner!
