Welcome to Med Student Mondays! What questions do you have for Alex and Haley? What topics would you like them to cover? People are always saying that medical students and doctors don't get enough training in nutrition. Sometimes that is actually true. (It definitely was for me) This deficiency leads to doctors that don't talk to their patients about diet and lifestyle changes as they can be used to prevent chronic medical conditions. It also allows people to use that as an excuse to ignore their doctor's advice. It works both ways. Well we are out to change that. As you heard above, Alex and Haley are both dedicated to using lifestyle and food to help prevent and manage chronic disease.
