Sticky BBQ Ribs (Vegan) Wet Ingredients: 1 tofu square 3/4 cups kidney beans 1 1/2 Tbsp better than bouillon seasoning 2 Tbsp sesame oil 4 Tbsp liquid aminos 1 Tbsp agave syrup 1 1/2 Tbsp liquid smoke 2 Tbsp bbq sauce 1 cup water 1.) combine all the wet ingredients together in a mixing bowl. 2.) Blend the tofu, beans, and 1 cup of water until smooth. Combine it with the other wet ingredients. Mix well. Dry Ingredients: 4 Tbsp nutritional yeast 3 Tbsp garlic powder 3 Tbsp onion powder 2 Tbsp beet root powder 1 Tbsp chili powder 1 Tbsp paprika 2 1/2 cups vital wheat gluten 1.) Combine dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl. 2.) combine both the wet and dry ingredients to make a dough. 3.) knead the dough for 10 minutes to activate the gluten. Use a mixer with the dough hook if needed. 4.) cut the dough into two pieces and shape into a flat piece in the shape of ribs. 5.) cook the flattened dough piece on an oiled griddle until browned on both sides. 6.) steam at a simmer (not boiling) for or 1 hour 10 minutes flipping it halfway through. 7.) your seitan is now fully cooked. You can rest it in the fridge overnight or use it the same day.
