HOW TO: Electric Mason Jar Vacuum Sealer Kit for Wide Mouth and Regular Mouth Mason Jars

Today, we're talking about the Love Moment, Electric Mason jar vacuum sealer kit for both the wide mouth and a regular mouth. Mason jars. Now, as you can see from these, I've been using Mason jar sealers for a very long time. Same thing that just makes them last a little bit longer. This is dried mint from about four years ago. Five years ago. And the same with some dried sage. One thing to keep in mind is this is not canning like you would tomato juice or canned beans or anything. This is not preservation. This is more of just keeping the air and moisture out. So dry goods will last longer. This is the unit right here. And it's ingenious in that it will accept the regular sized standard sized mason jar. Or you take this part off, it will accept the large mouth mason jar. Now, I put marshmallows in here, kind of so you could see the expansion of the or the removal of the air through the expansion of the marshmallows. So what you want to do, these are lids that were provided by Love Moment. And you want to make sure this is very, very clean and this is fairly new no dents. You'll know right away if it's going to work or not. You put this on all the way to the bottom. Press this button. You just listen closely and you can tell when it's got most of the air out. In this case, we can see it's drawing a vacuum on these marshmallows. And then we just we've been doing it for 25 seconds as a readout right here on the top. We press stop and we pull this off, and you can see that that is completely sealed. We even stuck it in the bottom. It is stuck to the sides because they expanded so much. It's pretty cool, huh? So to show you how much these expanded, I'm going to bring this up close to the camera and I'm going to pull this lid off. And that's how much vacuum. Let's try this. On the bigger one, the same rules apply. You want to make sure this is clean and make sure that's clean. And you take this part off. You see, there's a little locking marker on here. Turn it clockwise to unlock it. That opens up the wide mouth section. Just like with the normal one. You push it all the way down. You can press start and watch those marshmallows expand. That's the air coming out with that air is also moisture. As much moisture and as much air as you can, it's a very strong vacuum drawn inside the bottle. That's about 30 seconds. Press stop. And it didn't seal. Do you see how that went down? That top did not seal properly. And this just happens. It could be a piece of dust or something. Got on there. Something got in between. So you just put this lid back on and move it around just a little bit. Put this on again. Press start After about 30 seconds, turn it off. And it held that time.
