Sega Genesis Color Analysis: Can it show more than 64 colors?

There is some question whether the Sega Genesis can display more than its max limit of 64 colors. I decided to analyze some clips games and find out how many were being displayed. I took a look at Virtua Racing, Vectorman, Eternal Champions and Toy Story. All videos were recorded and analyzed at the original 60fps. Because of YouTube's 30fps limit, the final output video is ran at 30fps. Video game thumbnail shown is for reference, it has been enlarged and aspect ratio corrected.
