The San Francisco Examiner acclaims SopraDuo as an "innovative new duo... SopraDuo brings a journey of discovery to every recital they prepare." SopraDuo crystalized in 2011, and immediately began building a repertoire unique to them, combining Alexandra's abilities both as a guitarist and a soprano with their love and dedication to chamber music. Committed to the development of new repertoire, SopraDuo recently collaborated with San Francisco’s Guerrilla Composers Guild, culminating in new works written for the duo by Nick Benavides, Emma Logan, and Michael Kropf. Other recent collaborations include award winning young composers Eric Choate and Shahab Paranj. All of these composers will be represented on SopraDuo's new album, titled “House of Dreams,” which will feature works written for the duo. SopraDuo plays a pair of matching guitars by Bay Area luthier Glenn Canin. SopraDuo is a fiscally-sponsored affiliate of San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the service of chamber music in California. They are recipients of SFFCM's 2016 Musical Grant Program. Visit their website at sopraduo.com
