President Erdogan sent off the Oruç Reis seismic research vessel to Somalia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the farewell ceremony for the Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel, which Turkey developed with domestic and national resources, as it set sail for Somalia. The Oruç Reis Research Vessel, which will operate under the "Memorandum of Understanding on Somali Land and Offshore Blocks" signed in March between the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Federal Republic of Somalia, entered the Bosphorus from the Black Sea around 11:00 AM. A farewell ceremony was held in front of the Dolmabahçe Office at 14:30, with Erdoğan in attendance. The President greeted the crew of the vessel as it passed through the Bosphorus. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar also participated in the farewell. Following the ceremony, the Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel set off for Somalia.
