Guests of this episode of Radiologists are Drs. Nasir Jaffer and Korosh Khalili. How they got interested in international work, how Dr. Khalili's honeymoon became a mission to underserved countries, how both physicians managed to provide help with limited resources and infrastructure, and often — a language barrier; how such experiences changed their perspective on healthcare and radiology, what the global radiological community can do to help underserved countries, and so much more! Dr. Khalili has an interest in international health and is the co-director of medical imaging for the University of Toronto collaborative in Ethiopia, called Toronto Addis Ababa Academic Collaboration. Through this program, Dr. Khalili has been involved in creating several fellowship programs in medical imaging at Addis Ababa University. He has spent 6 months in Peru and Ethiopia teaching advanced medical imaging and is a consultant with Doctors Without Borders. More about Dr. Khalili: https://universitymedicalimagingtoron...
