After SO MANY cancelled trips due to the poor weather and storms. I headed up to do a solo trip. Needed to get up a mountain! Although I've been up all the Idwal scrambles before, Id never done it solo. And I'd not filmed properly. So this was the ideal time to get that sorted. The path from the car park quickly gets you up into The Idwal valley past the beautiful lake. Opting for the right Buttress variation up the crest of the rocky nose, and not the dark watercourse on the left. I climbed up trending right at the middle ledges through the large quartz band onto the ridge. Then its up to Glyder Fawr on easy ground. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY POSTED AS THE STAIRCASE.
