There are 19 steps and loads of pieces of hardware that need to be removed before you can remove the motherboard itself! Just use the chapters below to help. 00:00 Take out the SIM card tray 00:44 Remove bottom case 2:45 Remove main battery 4:05 All the screws that need to be removed (an overview) 5:12 Remove WIFI card 6:29 Remove LCD screen connector 7:07 Remove x6 hinge screws 8:18 Remove the lid 8:43 Disconnect speakers and CMOS battery 10:59 Remove RAM, fan and heatsink 12:42 Remove SSD 13:12 Remove DC power jack 14:45 Disconnect two ribbons 15:17 Remove the 9 screws holding the motherboard in place. 17:41 Remove the motherboard! 18:19 What secures the keyboard in place? 18:56 Disconnect keyboard and backlight ribbons 19:15 Remove 19 keyboard screws. 21:57 Remove the keyboard But, beware, as it is quite a lengthy process!
