So apart from uncoupling the transport that went fine. I do have suggestions if you intend to try it or use it... way up high, away from gravity, "uncouple the dropship and assign the thrusters to on/off on one tab." That way you can shut them off for Sulaco to fly normal, and it helps the hanger door go down correctly to have them off. Little things. Also worth mentioning to do the same when docking - after coupling the ship shut em down and use the hinge (on Sulaco) to pull the door shut. Your rear landing gear will lock on the block by the hinge if you are lined up correctly - it fits fine.
