I Bought A Boat! And Took it to Block Island

Well.. the time has finally come. I bought a 23' Parker Deep Vee earlier this summer and this is the first time I took it to Block Island for Striper and Fluke. I have a lot to learn as far as boat ownership, finding fish, and everything else goes, but I am learning quick. I've taken it out a bunch of times so far but haven't filmed much, between the terrible weather and the mediocre fishing. Mediocre fishing... yes, all around, everywhere, for everything, its been the slowest year I can remember in several years. Its like somehow everything got kicked back several notches, from the RI spring weakfish, Bluefish, to the Stripers all up and down, to the fluke, everything has been slower. They can blame the crummy flukin in NJ on the cold water upwelling, and its justified, but here in RI we've had 65-70 degree water for weeks, that SW wind doesnt upwell here, the fishing just hasn't been good. Here and there, some good fishing, overall, far from great. For flukes sake, the 2nd half of summer tends to be the time, and we are getting there now, so hopefully it gets right in the days and weeks ahead. It at least sounds like its been better the past week than it has been. This video was from before the 4th of July and Tan needed fish for his family festivities. Hopefully we have seen the worst of the prevailing winds and the 2nd half of summer is a lot nicer, and hopefully the fishing kicks up a few notches.
