Edelweiss Christopher Columbus Tour (CCC) final riding day (October 2024). Today's ride had us leaving Cordoba and heading back to our base hotel in Malaga. Our ride had us on the N 432 heading out of town through miles of endless olive groves. At the halfway point the roads turn seriously twisty. This was a fun ride and a great tour. Some general thoughts about this tour overall. You will be riding through and staying in heavily urban areas. Similar to areas such as New York City, Charlotte NC, London etc. These areas offer rich cultural centers that are fundamental to this tour. However, you will encounter rush hour traffic and steep grades, sometimes on cobble stone streets. Make sure the bike you choose you can flat foot on. Once you're out of the urban areas you will occasionally be on some seriously fun winding roads at elevation. Edelweiss tour guides are wonderful at setting the pace for the groups riding ability. The hotels and meals provided are absolutely top notch, which is typical of this tour company. You will not be disappointed at the level of service. October temperatures were comfortable.
