This place is located in Korea district of Chhattisgarh. It is located at a distance of about 28 kilometers from a place called Janakpur under Bharatpur tehsil in the north-west direction of Korea district. Why is it famous? This place is famous for being associated with Lord Rama from the time of Ramayana. During his exile, Lord Rama entered Chhattisgarh from Korea district. Sitamarhi-Harchauka located in Janakpur of Bharatpur tehsil is considered to be his first stop. Sita Kitchen Design: The cave of Sitamarhi-Harchauka, located on the banks of the Mawai River, has 17 chambers. It is also known as Sita's kitchen. There is a rock there which people consider to be the footprint of Lord Ram. 17 chambers have been made by cutting the cave located on the banks of the Mawa River, out of which Shivlingas are installed in 12 rooms. This place is known as Harchauka (kitchen). From here the path ahead for Shri Ram ji: Lord Rama reached Sitamarhi-Ghaghra situated on the banks of Rapa river from Harchauka. Here, about 20 feet above, there is a cave with 4 chambers, in the middle of which a Shivlinga is installed. Why is it in discussion these days? The Chhattisgarh government is constructing a "Shri Ram Van Gaman Path" by connecting all the places included in Lord Rama's stay in Chhattisgarh during his exile . Since Sitamarhi-Harchauka is considered to be the first stop of Shri Ram ji in Chhattisgarh, work will be done to beautify this place. It has been announced to develop Sitamarhi-Harchauka as a tourist spot. For this, the Korea Collector has instructed the administrative team to inspect the place and start the work plan.
