It's an informal introduction where the coaching staff will talk about their program's vision and where they see your son fitting in. Campus Tour: This isn't just about baseball. Your son is potentially choosing a home for the next few years. The tour will cover classrooms (where he'll spend a good chunk of his time), the cafeteria (essential for those growing athletes), and the dorms. Baseball Facilities: Expect a comprehensive tour of the baseball-specific facilities. This includes the locker room (a player's second home), the state-of-the-art weight room, and of course, the field where all the magic happens. Should Parents Come Along? Absolutely. Your perspective as a parent is invaluable. You'll have questions and observations that might not occur to a young athlete. Dress Code for the Athlete While there's no strict dress code, being presentable is key. A clean polo shirt or button-up with slacks or khakis and closed shoes is a good choice.
