TEDxYouth@MAIS - Rajesh Kasturirangan - The Future of Learning

In this talk titled "The Future of Learning", Rajesh Kasturirangan talks about the future of learning and how education is the worst thing to have happened to learning as it is an institution which hasn't changed in the past 1000 years. About Rajesh Kasturirangan Dr. Rajesh Kasturirangan is a faculty member at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) in Bangalore where he heads the cognition programme. He has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Rajesh Kasturirangan's research interests are in cognitive science and philosophy of mind. His current work relates to applying a combination of philosophical argument, mathematical techniques and empirical observations to classical problems in cognitive science and the philosophy of mind such as the semantics of natural languages, the epistemology of beliefs and the structure of intentionality and consciousness About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
