Exploring Mount Mitake in Tokyo and seeing the start of Autumn/Fall in Japan.

Today Moe and I travelled to Western Tokyo to the quiet town of Okutama. Okutama is very popular with residents of Tokyo as it provides escapism from the crowds with many one day hiking trips that range from simple to challenging. We chose Mount Mitake also known as MitakeSan which is one well known mountain because it is convenient to hike with it's many rest stops but it does not suffer from over crowding like Mount Takao does. If you love nature there are a good number of things to do at Mount Mitake, visiting shrines, trekking, seeing the local wildlife, enjoying quaint cafes and more. We show some of that in this video and if you look closely you can see the beginnings of autumn as some of the tree leaves have already started to yellow.
