​Senior Members of the Conservative Party involved with the UK’s Overseas Territories have urged the Party to vote down Labour’s plans for the handover of the Chagos islands. The Group that has over twenty members who act parliamentary champions in both Houses, says it will spearhead opposition to the government’s plans to surrender sovereignty of the British Indian Overseas Territory.
