For this construction site report, we took a look at Germany’s biggest demolition excavator in action. This KMC 1600S is a construction site giant that weighs up to 250 tonnes and was specially designed for complicated demolition jobs. The owner of this excavator is the Hagedorn Group, one of Germany’s top demolition specialists. The mega project featured in this video is the demolition of a coal-fired power station in Lünen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The Hagedorn Group acquired the entire site, including the installations and buildings, and has been tasked with redeveloping the area.
