NOTE : on the governor lever be sure to leave enough room behind the lever so it clears the brass bushing on block and has no restriction in movement! Adjust valves cold. Top Dead Center is where when you roll the motor back and forth the valves wont move, if they move your 180 degrees out (1 turn)and on the wrong stroke. NOTE : 7 & 8 hp Kohlers must be adjusted by grinding the valve stem to achieve clearances of .006-.008 on Intake, and .017-.019 on exhaust....grind carefully on these. NOTE: When tightening lock assembly on tappets hold the top one still to keep from changing your setting and lock with bottom nut. For you Tim, and for you too Merrie-Merrie!
