Where Is My Mind? by The Pixies - Trombone Arrangement

Where Is My Mind? is a song by the American alternative rock band Pixies, and was featured in the 1999 film Fight Club. I've never actually seen the movie, so my first interaction with the song was through a piano arrangement by French pianist Maxence Cyrin. I took much inspiration from his arrangement when making my arrangement, mainly in the form of turning it into a ballad. The original lyrics to this song are a whole thing, and you are all welcome to interpret them however you feel. The song is about disassociation in general (through whatever means you prefer), and the music video depicts this as substance abuse, but the original inspiration for the song was the Pixies' songwriter's experiences scuba diving in the Caribbean; not knowing which direction is up, a small fish trying to chase him, etc. People write some crazy stuff about their experiences with substances, but this song isn't necessarily one of them. Given the theme of disassociation, I decided to experiment with some new video editing techniques. I've recently developed a fascination for intentional visual glitches, which is a problem because I'm easily startled, so I decided try my hand at making my own and then pawning off my fear to all of you lovely viewers.
