Greist Rotary Buttonholer Attachment - Sew Buttonholes with a Straight Stitch Sewing Machine

The Greist Products Rotary Buttonholer allows you to sew button holes on a straight stitching sewing machine, which would otherwise be near impossible. I put the attachment to the test on my trusty Singer 99K hand crank sewing machine. I found the buttonholer to be surprisingly easy to install and use. The templates provided in the kit allow you to sew various types and length of buttonhole, including a keyhole type. The width of the buttonhole can easily be adjusted by moving a lever. You can stitch around the buttonhole to give it a nicer finish and add strength. You can also sew wide on the first pass and then narrow on the second pass to achieve that hand sewn look. I show how to tie off the threads so the buttonhole does not unravel and how to cut the hole. Maintenance is simple with just a few oil points. We also take a look at the inner workings of the buttonholer by using it with its cover removed. Extra length buttonholes, longer than the provided cams can sew, can be achieved.
