This is followed by the vapour barrier which is stapled in place to form a waterproof barrier, which will stop moisture condensing on the roof timbers. This is very important to avoid the future risk of potential mould and rot in the timber joists and OSB sheeting. I discuss how to cut the PIR insulation (Celotex) and discuss how to make the cuts fit tightly between the timber joists and studs, as well as explaining the reasons this is important.
