RadarBusters EXCLUSIVE -COBRA ROAD SCOUT REVIEW of WIFI Features

In this video of the Cobra Road Scout series we touch on the two different WIFI modems of this combined radar detector and HD dash cam unit, The first mode is for direct access to the Cobra Road Scout's on internal encrypted WIFI network. You can use your iPhone or Android smartphone to connect to it. The Cobra Road Scout in this mode will broadcast it's SSID and you join the network using the default password of 12345678. Once connected you launch your Cobra Drive HD app to control the dash cam aspects of the Road Scout. In the other WIFI mode, the Cobra Road Scout can join an existing WIFI network that is either provided by your phone's on hotspot feature or by an in-vehicle hotspot. When in this WIFI mode the camera will see the network to which you are already connected and you'll be able to put in the SSID and password that you used on your phone within the Cobra iRadar app. Once connected you Cobra Road Scout's OSP (over speed display) will change to the real-time post speed limit of the roads you will be traveling. Defender/Aura information can be retrieved and shared and you will also be able to get updates with both firmware and other database results in your Cobra iRadar app. The new Cobra Road Scout is expected to be released to the public around the August time frame, but Cedar Electronics (Cobra's parent company) is allowing RadarBusters to be an early offerer of the this radar detector. Demand is expected to be very high and we understand the amount of units available initially is going to be very limited, so for those interested in being on the cutting edge of radar detector designs are encouraged to get their pre-orders early.
