Join us as we view one of my favourite buildings in City of London-Apothecaries Hall. This is one of the City of London Guilds. We're on the edges of the City in Blackfriars, just off the famous Carter Lane. We're away from the core of the City that is around Bank, Lombard Street and Cornhill. It interests me for that reason also. Why is it here and not around Bank? I was fascinated in Apothecaries from watching the character of Hugh Fennyman in 'Shakespeare in Love'. Also, I worked less than 50 yards from this buildings for nearly 10 years, and would pass it daily, admiring it and wanting to know more of its history and what went on there!
