Former President Harry S. Truman talks about Henry Wallace. He says Wallace was a good Secretary of Agriculture, but didn't have the executive experience needed to be Vice President. He liked Wallace, but their relationship stalled after he ran for president in 1948. Their friendship was repaired after a dinner that Mr. and Mrs. Truman hosted for all of Truman's cabinet members. He concludes by saying that even though they were both liberal Democrats, their politics didn't jibe. This item is from the Screen Gems Collection.
