This bonus “freebie” movie from my Eurorack Expansion course covers the ring modulator section of the multi-function AJH Synth Ring SM. It demonstrates using a sawtooth wave from a Moog Mother-32 to modulate a sine wave from an Expert Sleepers Disting, and spend a lot of time looking at the resulting waveform as well as the harmonic spectra produced so you get a better idea how a ring modulator works. In addition to demonstrating a few different sounds you can get, I also go over the frequency doubling option, and compare its sound to the digital ring modulator built into the Disting.
