First train in 30 years on restored siding - New Bedford, MA

NEW BEDFORD, MA 8/25/2022 For the first time in 30+ years a train ventured onto the former Revere, Copper, & Brass spur in New Bedford, MA. This first train was a test train of the locomotives ahead of the train that will deliver the first railcars when they come in. The siding has been rebuilt for use by "Shoreline Resources" who is building a shipyard at the former Revere Industries site. In this video we see Mass Coastal MC-4 creeping onto and off of the siding directed by Mass Coastal personnel. Stay tuned for more footage of this siding in revenue service.
