In this video we'll guide you through the key aspects of optimizing the iRacing graphics settings to get the most out of your hardware. We cover the iRacing Graphics Configurator, in-sim graphics and replay settings, Robert Ehrling's excellent VR Optimization Guide, and a few other tricks in windows to get everything running smoothly. UPDATE DECEMBER 2023 The RAM and GPU VRAM Memory Sliders that were previously available in the Graphics UI screen in the sim, have been removed and iRacing has moved to an automatic process where the sim sets the appropriate amount of memory. In my testing this works well so shouldn't be something you need to worry about anymore but if you want to manually adjust the values, you can find them in the DX11 ini file. I would not recommend doing this unless you have an issue. UPDATE SUMMER 2023 An iRacing update in the summer of 2023 has moved the remaining DX11 section of graphics settings out of the "app.ini" file and into the "DX11Renderer.ini" file so bear that in mind when watching the app.ini section of the video as the settings we refer to will be in the DX11Renderer.ini file If there's anything you think we've missed, let us know in the comments!
