A 15-day canoe trip on the Pelly and Yukon Rivers in the Yukon Territory. The trip starts in Faro and ends in Dawson City. Includes highlights of the trip. Notes: 1. Water levels vary depending on weather, and season. This trip was completed in a very dry year/season at the beginning of July. In higher water, rapids would be significantly more dangerous with high standing waves. Always scout rapids prior to running. 2. The section between Faro and Pelly Crossing was very remote with no other parties seen in 10 days. Ensure adequate training and experience prior to completing this trip and always bring a communication device with you and have a plan for emergencies. 3. For those looking for a lower cost option with a shorter duration, we have also completed the Yukon River (Whitehorse to Dawson City) and recommend it for beginner paddlers who are experienced with wilderness camping. 4. This was a significant challenge on this trip and we had several large fires pop up along the route that impacted visibility and air quality.
