Skaters from across the city have been making their way to Carter Road in Bandra, which sports Mumbai’s first public skate park. The park has been a dream come true for skaters of all kinds, giving them a space to train, grow & explore. Today, the park is frequented by skaters, BMX riders, artists, musicians, and more, forming a creative playground for the youth and fostering the growth of skate culture & skating as a sport in India. The dream was made a reality due to the efforts of an urban skateboarding community called Bombay SB. The crew has been active since 2012 and has been promoting skate culture ever since. After building their first park in Nerul, Navi Mumbai back in 2016, the team is currently working hard to complete their 3rd public skate park in Thane. Do check them out sometime!
