This is part 1 of my Polar Lights 1/350 USS Grissom kit which I will be naming the Pegasus. I'll be detailing the model accordingly using reference pictures found on the Modeler's Miniatures and Magic website as a guide. This video includes a brief look of the unbuilt kit and a review of my plans for detailing and lighting. The build starts with painting using masks from Aztec Dummy. NOTE: Blending can be minimized or even eliminated by simply choosing a lighter color for the medium gray accents. Mine was too dark so it took a lot more effort to blend them in. Possibly consider something close to the old Testors Light Gray or even Tamyia's Sky gray lightened with white. Another option, Mission Models Light gray assuming you use white as the base color.
