How to use a soil testing kit at home and why should you avoid using all-purpose fertilizers. In this video, I'm addressing these two questions through my own experience of growing my vegetables organically. For the longest time, I didn't bother to ever test my soil, because I thought if you just fertilizer the soil periodically, it will be fine. The test results show a very different reading for my container soil and my in-ground soil, which is rather interesting. As mentioned in the video, I don't believe that the readings are super accurate by all means, but all a homegrown gardener, I think it's enough to determine whether your soil lacks some nutrients. *I skipped out on testing the pH in this video as I tested a bunch of times already. It is as important as other nutrient tests as vegetable growers should aim for a slight acidity in the soil.
