Today we bring you a conversation, recorded back in 1996 with local author, historian and retired GP Dr Haldane Mitchell who recalls growing up in Campsie Omagh and his 35 years in General Practice. His passion for yesteryear expressed through collecting old photographs have left a special place in our memories. He was a great supporter of our oral history collection and in this short programme he recalls his fathers practice in the days before the National Health Service.
