In this video, I’m sharing my experience a few unique café in Kota Bharu, Kelantan that’s quickly becoming the talk of the town! 🌟 1. ATAS Cafe As a new kid on the block, ATAS truly lives up to the hype. The atmosphere here is a win—think cool, minimalist vibes with stylish, modern furniture and a spacious, quiet setting perfect for hanging out with friends and family. The pastries are a must-try, especially if you visit early during opening hours when there’s an amazing variety to choose from. But it’s not just the pastries—the main courses are equally delicious, and the coffee hits the spot. I was impressed with the creative twists on classic dishes, like quesadillas topped with mango, and even found a rare east coast treat in their Kuih Lapis, both of which were super tasty! What really sets ATAS apart is the top-notch service. The staff are friendly and even go the extra mile with special arrangements for birthday cakes. Whether it’s the food, the desserts, the staff, or the overall experience, everything about this café is spot on. If you’re in Kota Bharu, ATAS is definitely worth a visit! 👍🏻 2. Hattori Coffee This is Hattori Coffee in Kemayang Beach. The name comes from an Anime character that had inspired the owner This is the first beach cafe to open in the history of Kelantan! This beachside cafe is a coastal paradise where the sound of waves becomes the backdrop for an exquisite cafe experience. Set right on the sandy shoreline, the salty ocean breeze and the mesmerizing views create a serene atmosphere. As the sun sets, the cafe transforms into a haven of breathtaking beauty. It is a must-visit for those seeking culinary and natural perfection. Talk about a great view! There’s also a replica of tiny house from Melbourne that is quite pretty The cafe is two story and don’t forget to check out the upper floor. Bean Bags, Umbrella shade and chairs are available to rent. 3. To The Moon Something notable about to the moon cafe is its quirky interior design that blends nostalgic, traditional elements with an industrial and modern vibe. There are plenty of mirrors around too, for that perfect OOTD shot. And you won’t want to miss the jokes hidden about. There’s a trash can labelled “Ex Aku” (my ex), next to stairs that read “Jatuh Cinta Bukan Tangga” (fall in love, not off the stairs). Hard to believe all these are designed by owner himself and did not hire any interior designers. The owner relegated that Life is too short, why not just laugh? He always want to see people laugh, and so he always think of funny ideas and put in in the cafe and the cafe’s social media. For those who are into crypto, you might understand the reference made by the cafe’s name. Essentially, To The Moon is a popular saying in the crypto community, referring to a crypto witnessing a major upward market trend. Finding the saying trendy, catchy, easy to pronounce, and somehow romantic, the founder of this cafe made his pick and launched To The Moon in 2021. To the Moon comprises a nine-person team. The staffs are all sons and daughters of KB, and many have worked at famous hotels and restaurants in KL the cuisine they serve s a mix of different things, from Japanese fare to Western flavours, while incorporating Thai and Malay dishes too. 4. Superdough b. One of the more “atas” cafe in KB. Located at the end of an alley in a dead end. Went for brunch at 10 am. Parking in the morning was easily available but is limited. Very nice layout of the cafe but seating is limited indoors, probably around 15 seats. More seats outdoors. They serve a variety of freshly baked artisinal breads, however at a shockingly high price that exceeds prices even in the posh bakeries of KL. Come to this cafe if you wanna feel atas and posh like dining in KL 😬 #ATASCafe #KotaBharuEats #CafeVibes #KelantanFoodie #PastryLovers #CafeLife #EastCoastMalaysia 0:00 Siti Khadijah Kota Bharu Market 0:54 Nik Aziz 2:13 Atas Cafe 4:33 Masjid Beijing 4:46 Superdough b. 6:30 Pengkalan Datu Lighthouse 6:44 To The Moon 9:03 Mural Paintings Kota Bharu 9:35 Hattori Coffee 11:17 Kodar Cafe
