This does a lot all at once - Now, your Dark Knight Lancer is going to be gaining a ton of attack points and will even be protected from destruction once, and if you equip Xyz Armor Torpedo specifically, it also can’t be targeted by card effects and will even prevent the opponent from activating anything during a battle with your Lancer. But by far the most important aspect of this effect is that Dark Knight Lancer gets equipped with something, which gives you the chance to use its effect to attach any one of your opponent’s monsters to it as Xyz material. So by summoning a single Rank 3, you get a draw ( Xyz Armor Torpedo ), an untargetable beatstick with a crazy amount of attack points ( Full Armored Dark Knight Lancer ) and a non-targeting, non-destructive form of removal for one of your opponent’s monsters that you can trigger during your opponent’s turn.
