Recently Laowa lent me this lens for a few weeks to test and create a short video with it. It is sharp, has a nice shallow depth to field and a very distinct and cool look. The lens can be a bit soft on the edges wide open but it kinda looks interesting. I took the lens to places where it could come in handy such as the church or the gallery, to be able to fully use the f2 and the super wide 7.5mm. The lens allows you to get really close as well which is cool. Didn’t have an ND filter so had to shoot at high apertures outside such as 11 or 16 and sometimes it still wasn’t enough as the light was pretty intense when shooting in the city for example. Overall I really recommend this lens, it is super light, well made and can allow you to shoot in situations that wouldn’t be possible with a more standard lens.
