7 Best Trap Bar Exercises That Are NOT the Deadlift

Although trap bar deadlifts (aka hex bar deadlifts) are great, and the best and most common way to use a trap bar, they are NOT the only way to use this fantastic piece of equipment. In this video, we have 7 trap bar exercises that are not the standard trap bar deadlift (although there is one deadlift variation in the mix). (0:00 - Intro) Here are the 7 exercises: 1. Staggered Stance Deadlift (0:53) 2. Farmer's Walk (2:13) 3. Overhead Press (3:17) 4. Trap Bar Push Up (4:55) 5. Floor Press (6:15) 6. Bent Over Row (7:52) 7. Jump Squat (8:55) Workout (10:20) No trap bar shrug included, but that is a great one too! TRAP BAR FULL BODY WORKOUT #1 (Circuit): 1. Staggered Stance Deadlift x 10 reps 2. Overhead Press x 10 reps 3. Farmer's Walk x 20-40 meters 4. Trap Bar Push Up x 10 reps 5. Bent Over Row x 10 reps 6. Floor Press x 10 reps 7. Jump Squat x 10 reps Do each exercise one after the other. Rest as needed between exercises. Complete for 2-3 rounds. Alter reps based on weight load (i.e. heavy load for strength/hypertrophy 5-8 reps each; moderate load for hypertrophy/endurance 8-12 reps; moderate-to-light for endurance/calorie burn 12+ reps). TRAP BAR FULL BODY WORKOUT #2 (Sets x Reps): 1. Jump Squat: 2-3 sets x 5-10 reps 2. Overhead Press: 2-3 sets x 8-12 reps 3. Farmer's Walk: 2-3 sets x 20-30 meters 4. Trap Bar Push Up: 2-3 sets x 10-20 reps 5. Bent Over Row: 2-3 sets x 8-12 reps 6. Floor Press: 2-3 sets x 8-12 reps 7. Staggered Stance Deadlift: 2-3 sets x 8-12 reps Finish one exercise for the total sets before moving onto the next. Rest 45-90 seconds between sets.
