follow me on instagram @   / savithaak   My fb page:   / savitha-ak-recipes-109117353952828   breakfast recipes :   • Breakfast recipes   Ingredients : Bombay rava 1cup water 3 cups Chopped onion 1/2 cup Chopped tomato 1/2 cup Finely chopped vegetables (cartot, beans and peas)- optional salt as needed Sugar 1/2 tso ghee 1 tb sp for seasoning: oil around 1/2 cup plus 2 tb sp mustard 1 tsp urad dal 1 tsp Broken cashew curry leaves minced ginger and chilli method: place a kadai on stove, add oil and start with seasoning. add chopped onion and saute for a few minutes.now add tomato and rest of the veggies. also add in sugar and required salt.Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes. Now add rava and fry for 5 more minutes on low flame . As the color of rava turns brown add in boiling water and keep mixing on low flame to avoid lumps. Finally add 2 tb sp oil on top, cover the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes. Once it's cooked properly mix thoroughly and you can see the nice texture of this upma at this stage. Add ghee , mix again and serve hot.
