Heralded as 'The Last Giant of Steam' for his progressive and original approach to the steam locomotive, Oliver V.S. Bulleid CBE left behind a truly staggering legacy in railway preservation. Of 140 Bulleid Pacifics built of varying types and modifications, 31 examples have eluded the cutters torch to survive into preservation. Throughout 2019, many Bulleid pacifics have taken to the rails around the UK; from the mainline to a variety of preserved railways.
