Well, the 3rd (yes, the THIRD) WSOP-Circuit Calgary for 2024 is in the books and for a series that came out of the blue in May, it was a pretty big success. More than 5,800 entries and nearly $3.5 million in total prizes made the series a huge August tilt for Deerfoot Inn & Casino. Alex Liu brought the Main Event title home again with a big win for Calgary. Jenelle Exner went back-to-back in the Ladies Event, winning the game in May and again this time in August. David Labchuk won his third Calgary ring and second in 2024 while Scott Calvank watched on from 3rd; Calvank went on to bag his 1st ring a few days later in the Seniors' game, where Labchuk won his first two rings. Poker philanthropist Sunny Lubana made some Indian kids happy, Duff Charette found ring #2 with a lucky Corona, and some great laddering from Vancouver's Ashkan Razavi were other stories that made this one and only August Circuit in Calgary a big series!
