Join me on a walk starting on the causeway bridge and we make our way into the heart of this beautiful French town, travelling around the ramparts and climbing lots of steps up to the Abbey we explore the many rooms, catacombs and corridors. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking and so memorable, if you have the opportunity to visit Mont-Saint-Michel then be sure to take a trip up to the Abbey if you’re able. With over 3 million visitors each year this is one of the most popular places to visit in Normandy, Northern France. Just to note if you are planning a visit here make sure you wear some comfortable footwear and take a drink as there are lots of steps, those with mobility issues may find getting around the town quite challenging as there are no lifts and lack of handrails in places. For those unable to visit I truly hope this video allows you to experience a memorable journey to this gorgeous French town. There is plenty of parking and regular shuttle busses are available to transport visitors from the entrance facilities to the town of Mont-Saint-Michel.
